Ans 2: The white elephant’s mother advised him not to help the man in distress because she was aware of the human behavior towards animals. She told the Elephant that your goodness will be rewarded by treachery and asked him not to go.

The forester was a cunning and greedy man. He thought that if he gifts the White elephant to the kind he will be rewarded. So, out of greed he informed the King and got the elephant trapped with the help of King’s skillful trainers.

Ans 4: The elephant refused to eat anything because he was in despair. He was worried for his mother. His mother was blind, old, and hungry so he said that she must be starving so how could I eat.

Ans 5: The king was a noble man. He heard the white elephant carefully and understood the pain of the animal at once. He felt shameful due to the forester’s act and greed. At once he ordered the Elephant to be freed from the cage. The White Elephant was freed, and he ran towards his mother.

The White Elephant was a good man. He was helpful and without any self-interest helped the greedy forester. The Elephant loved to help needy people. The White Elephant was innocent too as he could not understand the treachery of the cunning forester.

Let us forget the treachery of the forester and think only of the king’s goodness. Discuss with your partner the importance of developing such an attitude towards life.
Ans: The White Elephant was nice. He was kind and helpful. He helped the forester when he was in distress. Even when the forester cheated on him and got him trapped, the White Elephant had no grudge against him.
The example of the White Elephant shows that one should be positive in life and have a positive attitude towards life. Having a positive attitude will help you to progress in life. In life you will meet all kinds of people, there will be some people who might cheat on you or will feel jealous from you. We should avoid such people and should focus on the positive aspects of life. If we waste our energy on criticizing such people we will not anything fruitful from this.
