Ans 3: We can infer this from the fact that he never took part in any exercise in school hours. He only joined gymnastics when it was made compulsary for all the students. Gandhiji used to think that exercises had nothing to do with the education but later he realized the importance of physical training.
Another reason was that he he had to reach home fast so that he could serve his father as soon as possible. Every day after his school he used to hurry towards his home so that he could serve his father.
Question 4: What made Gandhiji ashamed of himself during his visit to South Africa?
Gandhiji had a poor handwriting. When he visited Sout Africa, he saw beautiful handwritings for lawyers and young men. Seeing this, he felt ashamed of himself. He thought that he should have paid attention to his handwriting in his school days.

Ans 5: Gandhiji stole gold from his brother’s armlet because he was in a debt of twenty five rupees and he thought by selling a bit of gold he could pay the debt on his head.

He stole gold from his brother’s armlet but he could not bear the guilt of stealing. He felt heavy and thought of confessing to his father. He felt ashamed of himself.
To confess his sin, he wrote it on a paper. He also wrote that he should be given adequate punishment and also assured that he will never repeat his in future. He felt sorry and with shivering hands handed the paper to his father.

Ans 7: According to Gandhiji, the purest type of repentence is: A clean confession with a promise of never doing the sin again in future.

Ans: Physical training is as important as mental training. A healthy mind can only stay in a healthy body. We should also focus on our physical fitness with mental health. If your body is unhealthy you will not be able to concentrate better on your work or studies.
A fit body helps us to keep our mind healthy. If you care about your body people will appreciate it. A healthy body is a sign that you care about yourself.
A lot of profession requires the employees to be fit and active especially MNCs. They don’t want candidates that are lazy and low on energy levels. A fit body also improves our self confidence. It enhances our overall personality.
